Terahshea J. McCray is a certified personal trainer residing in New Jersey and New York City. His clients are adult and student-athletes, retirees, celebrities, top-level executives, seniors, and stay-at-home moms. 

Since launching his training career in 1995, Terahshea has designed and customized safe, effective exercise programs for patients discharged from medical treatment and individuals working through diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, obesity, AIDS, Cancer, and neuromuscular disorders. McCray designs nutrition programs for beginner, elite and professional athletes, and for baseball, softball, basketball, tennis programs, and soccer teams.

McCray currently holds numerous certifications from leading international health and fitness organizations including Clinical Exercise Specialist and Advanced Health; Fitness Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer from the American Council on Exercise; Specialist in Performance Nutrition, and Specialist in Martial Arts Conditioning from the International Sports Science Association; Sports Fitness Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine; Holistic Lifestyle Coach from the C.H.E.K. Institute; and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Terahshea is a graduate of Rider University with a B.A. in Communications and Television Production. However, it was his Human Biology course studies that deepened his interest in anatomy and kinesiology, ultimately shifting his career focus to holistic wellness. 

McCray’s role as a Holistic Wellness Consultant with New Legacy Leaders Project is part of his mission to help combat unhealthy lifestyles that create generational problems for all Americans.  He is co-author of Healthy Women Rock: How to Live the Life You Desire and Deserve, Lose Weight and Gain Control Over Negative Thoughts.  Terahshea also wrote, produced, and hosted his fitness show titled  Back ‘N Shape With T.  The half-hour TV show aired throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico on an ABC affiliate station. 

CERTIFICATIONS

ACE CPT: ACE = American Council on Exercise, CPT = Certified Personal Trainer

The American Council on Exercise (ACE) awards the Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certificate to fitness professionals who have a comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy as it relates to fitness.  These qualified professionals are proficient in designing and implementing safe and effective programs for the apparently healthy population. 

CHEK (HLC) The Holistic Lifestyle Coach is an advanced fitness and nutrition, a certification that focuses on releasing positive energy through a balance of proper nutrition, movement, and breathing.

ACE (CES) The Clinical Exercise Specialist certification allows the trainer to work closely with patients who have been discharged from medical treatment and cleared to workout with a specialist. Anyone who is working through diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and obesity, should work with a Clinical Exercise Specialist.  The ACE (CES) also qualifies you to work with AIDS, Cancer, and others with neuromuscular disorders.  We help to restore the clients to their activities of daily living, with increasing their fitness levels.

ACE (Gold Certified) Advanced Health & Fitness Specialist is awarded to the professional who holds multiple credentials and qualifies the fitness specialist to work with all populations in the spectrum of health and fitness.

ISSA (Certified) Specialist in Performance Nutrition qualifies the fitness professional to design a nutrition program for beginner, elite, and professional athletes. The professional is qualified to design a fitness and nutrition program for people who want to develop lean and fit bodies.

ISSA (Certified) Specialist in Martial Arts Conditioning.  The International Sports Science Association awards this certification to individuals with a background in martial arts as well as other combat sports.  This qualification is for those who can design and implement a safe yet, advanced strength and conditioning program for professional and amateur fighters (Boxers, Kickboxers+)

NASM (Certified) Sports Fitness Specialist is awarded to the advanced fitness professional who can design training programs for baseball, softball, basketball, football, golf, tennis, and soccer.  The National Academy of Sports Medicine provides the specialist with over 400 proven training programs that have been designed for the top professional athletes in America.

NSCA (CSCS) The National Strength and Conditioning Association awards this top credential to those who are qualified to work with college and professional athletes.  The Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification is widely regarded as the top training credential in the field of sports science.
